Dr. Carter Reeves, DDS
Dr. Reeves is a second-generation dentist who began his dental career practicing alongside his father and brother in Fairfax County, VA. After several years experience with his family, he decided to branch out to serve the people of Loudoun County.
He received his DDS degree from the Medical College of Virginia (VCU School of Dentistry). He continues to pursue advanced post-doctoral training in individual dental specialties including dental implants, smile design, and temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD).
Dr. Reeves has one mission for First Impression Dental: To provide the highest standard of care to his patients through one-on-one time with each patient, advanced technology and techniques, and through a genuinely caring and compassionate orientation to patient care. He is especially adept at making even the biggest “dental coward” feel like they are at a relaxing spa.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Northern Virginia Dental Association (NVDA), and the Virginia Dental Association (VDA). He also is a long-time volunteer dentist for Missions of Mercy (MOM), which provides free dental care to underprivileged families.
Dr. Carter Reeves and his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Reeves, are college sweethearts (Go Hokies!). They are the proud parents of three amazing sons. The Reeves are life-long Redskins fans and enjoy any activity that includes family, friends, and the great outdoors.
In addition to family time, the Reeves believe in giving back to their community by means of countless hours of volunteer work, donations to local projects, and school system assistance. They are happy contributors & suuportors of Operation Second Chance, Relay For Life & the American Cancer Society, tens of local schools, Brambleton Community Association, Willowsford HOA, The Life Church, Virginia Academy & Community Church, local music & craft beer events.
The Reeves’ vision for First Impression Dental is to offer a quality dental experience to busy, hard-working families. This starts with the initial conversation over the phone and is carried through with Dr. Reeves’ compassion for his patients. Heck, he even comes in on his day off if an emergency needs attention!
Thanks for being a First Impression Dental family!
We are in the process of expanding our practice in the spirit of making scheduling easier for you. From time to time, you will meet a new face so that Dr. Reeves can find new team members to help him provide A+ customer service to you. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we take the necessary steps to accomplish this important step on the journey of our practice expansion.
Dr. Sheila Mazhari, DMD
Dr. Sheila Mazhari was born in Denver, CO but her family moved to the DC area when she was just a toddler. She realized that she wanted to be a dentist when she had her braces taken off at the age of 16 and understood the value of smiling freely and frequently. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park and completed her Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences in Miami, FL. Loving the warm weather, Dr. Mazhari chose to stay in Florida to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. Here she was the Chapter President of the American Student Dental Association and subsequently sat as the student member of the Florida Dental Association’s House of Delegates.
Since moving back to the DMV area, Dr. Mazhari has completed over 250 continuing education hours in all aspects of dentistry to ensure that she provides top-notch dental care to her patients. She has especially maintained a focus on cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry, and sleep apnea therapies. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She has also been a continued volunteer at Mission of Mercy, which provides free dental care to underserved and uninsured families in need.
From the moment you meet Dr. Sheila, you will notice her compassionate and calming demeanor. You will also notice her dedication to making sure you are at ease because she understands how scary going to the dentist can be! She has been described as honest, nurturing, and sensitive to her patient’s fears, concerns, or problems. She goes above and beyond to educate her patients as well as encourage her patients to develop good preventive care habits to ensure that they can also smile freely and frequently. Her main goal is to make sure her patients are comfortable before, during, and after treatment and she is committed to providing quality one-on-one care.
Dr. Mazhari, her husband, Amin, and their dog, Zeus, reside in Tysons Corner and are avid sports fans. They play fantasy football, flag football, and intramural soccer. They enjoy traveling and taking skiing and camping trips across the area.
