Carter Reeves, DDS

Dr. Reeves is a second-generation dentist who began his dental career around age 12. Watching his father’s compassion, expertise and professionalism gave him inspiration. After graduation, he joined his father’s practice in Fairfax County, Virginia, where he was born and raised. After several years of experience with his family, he decided to branch out to serve the people of beautiful Loudoun County and create a space of his own.

Dr. Reeves received his DDS degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He continues to pursue advanced postdoctoral training in individual dental specialties, including dental implants, smile design, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), sleep apnea and Invisalign® orthodontics.

Dr. Reeves’ accolades include being named top 40 Under 40 by Incisal Edge Magazine, Premiere Invisalign Gold provider 2017, Open Care Practice of the Year 2012, Best of Yelp (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), Google Five-Star Provider, Angie’s List Grade-A Provider, and numerous community philanthropic awards, including the Boy Scouts of America Prestigious Provider.

Dr. Reeves has one mission for First Impression Dental: to provide the highest standard of care to his patients through time spent with each of them, advanced technology and techniques, and a genuinely caring and compassionate orientation toward patient care. He is especially adept at making even the biggest “dental coward” feel like they are at a relaxing spa. If you are a person who has had difficulty getting numb in the past, give Dr. Reeves a try and enjoy being numb for once!

Dr. Reeves is an active member of the American Dental Association® (ADA), the Northern Virginia Dental Association (NVDA) and the Virginia Dental Association (VDA). He is also a long-time volunteer dentist for Missions of Mercy (MOM), which provides free dental care to underprivileged families.

Liz Ramsey-Reeves, DPT

Dr. Liz Ramsey-Reeves has always had a passion for better health, which led her to pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and a doctoral degree in physical therapy. She received her bachelor’s from the Virginia Tech School of Science in 2006, with a minor in leadership and another minor in bio-business systems.

With the grit of a small-town, country girl from Winchester, coupled with the work ethic evident of a middle-class military family, she became the first of her family to earn a membership into the prestigious National Honor Society and Who’s Who Among High School Students. While attending Virginia Tech, she was selected as a member of the leadership program and obtained a bachelor’s degree in biological science. From there, with perseverance, she was selected into a postgraduate program and was the first and only of her family to earn a doctoral degree, which was received from the Medical College of Virginia (VCU).

Dr. Liz is a dreamer, visionary and small business startup connoisseur. She is the founding partner of Best Rest VA, offering sleep solutions and apnea treatments; founder, owner and chief operator of First Impression Dental of Ashburn, providing comprehensive health care solutions; and owner of First of the Month Properties, a rental property group. She is a private investor in many technology and health care based startups and is always researching the next best long-term investment.

Driven by faith, her passion for building relationships throughout the community and providing better quality of care among the health care industry is evident in the countless volunteer hours she and her family have donated over the years in and throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. In addition to primary roles of juggling multiple businesses, her passion projects have been recognized in the community and have received numerous awards, with the latest being voted the Best Dental Practice in Ashburn (2021). She has helped to spearhead fundraising events for the American Cancer Society and various health organizations. She is host, volunteer and donor to many local community events, including Virginia Tech, Brambleton Live, Operation Second Chance, Relay for Life, Ainsley’s Angels, Toys for Tots, Wounded Warriors Project, Cornerstone Chapel, Willowsford Cares, and hundreds of community schools and sports leagues.

Dr. Liz is married to her best friend and college sweetheart, Dr. Carter Reeves. Together with their three boys, Harrison, Ramsey and Sawyer, they enjoy everything the great outdoors offers. Their family is built on the foundational principles to love God and country, practice faith in service, participate in active prayer, and do mindful acts of compassion. In her free time, Dr. Liz enjoys sharing in the gift of music (that her parents passed to her) with her kids at the piano and by playing trumpet and saxophone.

Nojan Jafari, DDS

Dr. Nojan Jafari is a proud Northern Virginia native. He attended Langley High School in McLean and then he completed his undergraduate degree at James Madison University. While at James Madison University, he worked in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, researching how to manipulate cell migration to both inhibit cancer cell migration and promote wound healing.

Dr. Jafari graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana. Established in 1879, it is one of the oldest dental schools in continuous existence in the U.S. and has a longstanding tradition of comprehensive curriculum. This includes both strong academic and clinical training, as well as a firm emphasis on research (such as the invention of the first fluoridated toothpaste which is now Crest!).

Dr. Jafari then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel-Hill, which is consistently ranked as one of the top dental schools in the world. During this residency, he primarily conducted clinical training at the Kernersville VA Medical Center as Chief Resident, providing much needed care and compassion to our nation’s military veterans, with a rotation in UNC’s Oral Pathology Department. He was able to gain a vast amount of experience in caring for medically complex patients while becoming proficient in various procedures utilizing both digital and traditional methods. These include everything from porcelain veneers to implant dentistry, as well as the fabrication of sleep apnea appliances.

Dr. Jafari’s primary goals are educating patients on preventive care and helping them achieve stability with their oral health, as he strongly believes in the connection between oral health and systemic health. He also strongly adheres to making dentistry as painless as possible and helping patients conquer their dental trauma, with his calm and patient demeanor being known for winning over even the most anxious patients! Dr. Jafari’s own discomfort with needles motivated him to develop his own personal injection technique that is as painless as possible, and most patients are not even aware that he has already started numbing!

Dr. Jafari is also fluent in English, Farsi, and moderately in Spanish.

Dr. Jafari lives in Great Falls. He is very fortunate that his entire immediate family lives in the DMV. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, bouldering, watching sports, and spending time with his family and their beloved dog, Lulu.
